Happy December everyone! It’s been a while since you heard from me! Last Saturday we held my birthday live and I wanted to tell you all about it!
I am very lucky that this was my second turn! My 2019 birthday also happened to be our first group A-muse live. We have all come so far since then. For myself, I believe my growth has not only been in overall performance, but also in my own self confidence. I had the most growing pains when we took the transition from cosplay to idol. I thought, who would want to see me? I also thought, I am not like idol girls. As someone brand new to idol culture, it’s easy to think that you must conform to a certain style/look/personality to fit in. The deeper I got, the more I discovered the colourful variety of people within this genre. Seeing girls like Kamiya Saki and Lingling are a huge inspiration to me. The more I bring my own personality, the more fun I have. I also think it has helped me connect with you all as well.
That all being said, I felt so cool and funky in my plaid panelled costume. Lolly is a very talented designer, especially when all I can offer is the vague concept of ‘1986 David Bowie from the Ziggy Stardust Tour but also a military uniform’. She did me good. My favourite part is my mullet that our alumni, Celly, styled for me! I am also obsessed with the titty window. I felt very cool in this fit. You reckon I could get away with wearing this to do the groceries?
This live was particularly exciting because we made a huge announcement! Two original songs! It is a bloody miracle that we got them both done before the end of the year. We had been working so hard on them the past couple of months, so getting to see all your reactions was a very rewarding experience. As a special treat, the girls learned Keyakizaka46’s Eccentric AND drilled Little Scarlet Bad Girl for a second time. I was very moved when my team all pulled a late night practice to get it done for me. It was a very generous thing to do and I am very grateful I got to do it again for you all.
The highlight of the night was receiving this amazing gift from the wotas. I was so blown away and genuinely moved to tears. As I become braver expressing myself, the more people get to learn about me. For them to know me in this way is something that wouldn’t have been possible without all their support for my silly ways. I am so grateful to be apart of this warm and welcoming community.
I am also a BIG fan of this twilight birthday cake that Aleks made for me.
Can you tell that it is Edward? He has never looked yummier!
Thank you all again for such an incredible evening. Thank you to the Bris-wotas for the beautiful gifts. Thank you to Scav for opening the show. Thank you to our amazing staff, who made this night possible. And thank you to A-muse. I love you all so much.
I can’t wait to see you all again in 2021! Stay safe!
Love from Luvkii! ♥️
